The Indian benchmark indices in the Friday afternoon session was trading on a flat to positive note with the Nifty50 up 4 points, trading at 10,787 while the Sensex shed 24 points and is trading at 35,904.
Nifty Energy is the outperforming sector, up half a percent led by IOC which jumped 3 percent followed by ONGC, BPCL, GAIL India and Reliance Industries.
Nifty Realty continues to trade in the green led by Indiabulls Real Estate, Prestige Estates, Sobha and Sunteck Realty.
Pharma stocks were down dragged by Aurobindo Pharma, Divis Labs, GSK Pharma, Glenmark Pharma and Piramal Enterprises.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers were Sun TV Network, L&T Infotech and Supreme Industries while the top losers were Torrent Power, Glenmark Pharma and Max Financial Services.
The top BSE smallcap gainers were Max India which zoomed 20 percent followed by Reliance Naval and PG Electroplast.
The top gainer from NSE include Indian Oil Corporation, Bharti Airtel, ONGC, YES Bank and Infosys while the top losers included HCL Tech, HDFC, UPL, JSW Steel and Cipla.
The most active stocks were YES Bank, Motherson Sumi, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries and PC Jeweller.
Colgate Palmolive, NRB Bearing and Proseed India have hit new 52-week high on NSE in this afternoon session.
26 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like Narayana Hrudayalaya, ANG Industries, Excel Realty, Gayatri Highways, GTL Infra and Syngene International among others.
The breadth of the market favoured the advances with 764 stocks advancing and 913 declining while 384 remained unchanged. On the BSE, 1157 stocks advanced, 1297 declined and 142 remained unchanged.
